The first time I’ve become involved into the Arctic in 2006, when I took the first course of the BCS program offered by the University of the Arctic. That time I did not even realize how it was going to change my entire life.

The University of the Arctic’s board meeting is taking place at Nuuk, Greenland from the 4th of June till the 6th of June, chaired by Barry Scherr. The Board will be reviewing the financial activity report of 2011. The Board will also discuss the strategic development and self evaluation of UArctic.

The new issue of UArctic's annual magazine Shared Voices has been released and is now accessible for download. This year's issue takes the theme of 'Our Northern Futures' - and features articles from many of our Thematic Networks and cooperation partners on how northerners are shaping a better future for themselves.
