You have a desire to go to sea as a team player in the Engine Room Department and a mechanical aptitude with a drive to help troubleshoot machinery.
Rotational work onboard a variety of ships and offshore rig installations.

This program is designed to provide the technical and practical knowledge necessary to run, maintain and repair marine diesel engines.
We offer workshop, classroom and work term experience that all prepare you for a career in the operation and maintenance of marine diesel engines and auxiliary equipment.
Two academic terms, one 5-week technical session and one 60 sea days ship-based work term.
Candidates for admission to the Technical Certificate in Marine Diesel Mechanics require a High School Diploma; a grade 11 Public Examination Matriculation Certificate; a Level III Adult Basic Education (ABE) Certificate; or other qualifications judged by the Marine Institute to be high school equivalent.
