This year’s annual meeting was attended by over 40 participants representing 28 different thematic networks including two UArctic institutes. Discussion items included broader Arctic research planning process in the Fourth International Conference on Arctic Research Planning (ICARP IV) and in the Fifth International Polar Year (IPY) 2023-33. On more practical level updates on UArctic’s fundraising activities were shared, and introduction of the new Thematic Networks webpages and updates on the reporting process were given.
The annual face to face meeting is an important venue for leaders to meet, to share knowledge, and to build new connections for collaboration in joint research projects and in educational activities.
