Online seminar: Diversity in Learning

The UArctic Thematic Network on Teacher Education for Social Justice and Diversity in Education organises the first online research seminar between the Universities of Helsinki, Tromsö and Aberdeen on Thursday, 30 March 2017 at 18:00-20:00 (Finnish time). The seminar deals with the topic: What is diversity in learning?

The purpose is to stimulate thinking about diversity, and how we can deal with it in research / teaching and learning. Participants are expected to be students at B.Ed. or higher level, working on or planning a research project (e.g. thesis) or reflecting their teaching practice.

The seminar will be hosted at https://connect.funet.fi/saivayrynen and be based on students’ discussions and presentations. Supervisors are: Sai Väyrynen (Helsinki), Jette Steensen (Tromsö) and Mhairi Beaton (Aberdeen). The seminar is open for all.

Time: 18:00–20:00 (Finland), 17:00–19:00 (Norway), 16:00–18:00 (Scotland)
