High Mountain Glaciers and Challenges Caused by Climate Change at the Norwegian Polar Institute Tromso, Norway 8-10 June 2009

Special edition on Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation, and Vulnerability in the Arctic.The Norwegian Polar Institute announces the availability of a new issue of Polar Research, volume 28 (1), April 2009. The volume is a special edition on change impacts, adaptation, and vulnerability in the Arctic.




The Introduction to Northern Small Scale Agriculture course at Lakehead University will bring students to Finland for field work and link them to the University of the Arctic.


The Byrd Polar Research Center at Ohio State University seeks abstract submissions for the upcoming Chapman Conference on Abrupt Climate Change, to be held 15-19 June 2009. The deadline for electronic abstract submission is Friday, 20 March 2009, at 11:00 pm Universal Time.

Mobility grants are available for Russian students and scholars for visits starting in 2009-2010. Application deadline is 22 April 2009.
