University of Regina


Over the past 40 years, the University of Regina has established itself as one of Canada's leading comprehensive universities. In recent years, the university has continued its program development with the launch of a very successful undergraduate nursing program, and the formation of new master's degree programs in health administration, journalism, and nursing. It has also revamped its MBA program, and has successfully achieved national accreditation in areas including engineering, nursing, actuarial science and clinical psychology.

The University of Regina is a pioneer in cooperative education, establishing the first such program in Western Canada. The program offers numerous experiential and career-centred learning opportunities in business administration, science, arts, engineering and actuarial science, among others. In 2015, the University of Regina cooperative education students earned more than $10 million to help advance their education.

The University of Regina's unique UR Guarantee is a program that provides students with access to valuable academic, leadership and service opportunities throughout their studies. The program instills the skills and knowledge necessary for students to start their careers. If participating students don't secure career-related employment within six months of graduation, the university pays for an additional year of tuition and course fees.

The university's robust research enterprise includes world-class scholars, research laboratories, centres and institutes that advance research and enhance students' educational experience.

Centrally located in the western plains of Canada and the capital city of Saskatchewan, the campus is situated within one of Canada's largest urban parks.
