Natural Gas Technology

The programme offers a quite wide selection of courses within the mechanical engineering aspects of the value chain. Techno-economic optimization is included for the whole value chain. Technologies for carbon dioxide capture and storage is emphasized in the processing and conversion steps of the value chain.

Natural gas is being used extensively for domestic heating, in chemical industries, and in power generation.

Carbon neutral production technologies is currently of particular industrial concern. As natural gas is going to be of large importance as energy source in the future as well, we would like you to join the team of energy and process engineers who aims at contributing to a cleaner natural gas utilization for the future.

The programme offers a wide range of specializations:

  • Process Integration
  • Multiphase flows
  • Gas processing and LNG
  • Gas value chain from well to user
  • Combustion and energy conversion
  • Thermal Turbo Machinery
  • Thermal power Cycles, including C02 capture
  • Computation and simulation methods
