Homeland Security and Emergency Management

In the post-9/11 environment, emergency management and homeland security professionals face many new challenges. The Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) program, offered through the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Management, delivers first-hand, real-world experiences, successes, and lessons learned. The HSEM undergraduate program currently offers a Bachelor of Emergency Management (BEM) degree, as well as several minors and an occupational endorsement. Our students receive training for meaningful jobs with good wages and significant growth opportunities.
