Graduates on this programme attains a set of competencies, which allow them to work with a great number of different tasks in environmental management – both in the public and the private sector, as well as in NGOs and stakeholder organisations.
Graduates will be able to design and conduct analysis of existing or future environmental strategies and policies within an organisation or at a societal level.
As a MSc in Environmental and Resource Management your job opportunities will be many: for example working as an advisor for business leaders, who must consider environmental impacts of their decisions and develop competitive advantage.
Environmental leaders will benefit from the business skills in combination with natural science, technical and economic issues in their proposed solutions to environmental problems.
Master of Science in Environmental and Resource Management requires two years of full time study or 120 ECTS in total, each year consisting of four quarters. The programme consists of 9 compulsory courses (60 ECTS) offered in the first four quarters. The 30 ECTS elective course / internship / study aboard are typically placed in the fifth and sixth quarters, and the thesis (30 ECTS) is to be written during the seventh and eighth quarters.
SDU and Università degli Studi di Ferrara (Italy) have agreed upon setting up a Double Master Degree, making it possibly to obtain a MSc in Environmental and Resource Management from SDU and a Laurea magistrale in Economia, mercati e management, track Green Economy and Sustainability from Università degli Studi di Ferrara.
NOTE: Students can either study for a full master degree or as exchange students for one or two semesters.
