With an MSc in Operations and Innovation Management – Global Management, you will be able to handle the challenges of the increasing globalization that most companies are facing at present.
Off-shoring and outsourcing of different activities within the company’s value chain are creating a completely new managerial agenda. The study programme Operations and Innovation Management will give you the expertise needed to analyse, understand and solve the challenges associated with the disintegration and globalization of the company’s value chain. Also, the study programme addresses the globalization challenges from an innovation perspective by addressing the problems and opportunities in developing innovative global business models and systems. The programme gives you a balanced analytical, systemic and managerial understanding of the management and development of a global value chain as well as its underpinning disciplines.
Through the unique project based learning model practiced at Aalborg University you will have the opportunity to work with real-life companies and their problems in all four semesters. In this way, you develop your analytical competences in combination with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex real-life problems. Thus, the project reports are a great opportunity to try out your ideas and knowledge in a real life-situation. Furthermore, the study programme focuses on the globalization challenges faced by a wide range of different companies and industries – for example pharmaceutical companies, companies in the service and IT industries as well as industrial companies.
The programme is offered as both a Cand.Polyt programme and as a Cand.scient.techn. for applicants with non-engineering Bachelor degrees.
