Russian Studies Programme

The Russian Studies course is developed by the twin universities UiT (Norway) and NArFU (Russia) with the hopes to build knowledge of Russia and stimulate interdisciplinary thinking. Initially created for the exchange students from Nordic countries, now the program attracts students from all over the world and enables international students to get knowledge about Russian history, culture, language and society by offering them a semester program at the Russian university.

The Russian Studies course consists of 3 modules, 10 ECTS each:

History:

    The Voices of Twentieth Century Russia (advanced level) or Soviet and Contemporary Russian History (intermediate level)

Language:

    Russian Texts for Understanding Soviet and Contemporary Russia and/or Practical Russian

Contemporary issues:

    Contemporary Russian politics
