NOST 101 - The Circumpolar World

This is UArctic's CS 100. This course introduces students to the landscapes, peoples and issues of the region.

Introduces students to the landscapes, peoples and issues of the region. It examines the geography, biological and physical systems of the Subarctic and Arctic, then turns to the aboriginal and contemporary peoples of the region. It also surveys some of the particular issues facing the region including: climate change, economics, environmental stewardship and political climate. This course is offered online.
