Quaternary Sedimentology

This course deals with sedimentological processes, with a special focus on Quaternary deposits. You will learn about stratigraphical methods, both in the field and in the lab (including section logging, sampling strategies, lab-analytical and dating methods). You will practice your skills in the field and get a better understanding of the linkages between deposits – their formative processes – and the environment.

Requirements

Competence equivalent to at least 90 ECTS credits in biology-earth sciences, geography, Earth sciences, or equivalent.

Also required is knowledge equivalent to Swedish upper secondary school course English B/English 6.
