Sustainable Energy Systems

This course describes the role of energy supply in a sustainable society. 


The global energy situation and the resource and environmental problems it causes are presented and discussed. State-of-the-art technology for renewable energy conversion is brought up. Economic and political tools that can affect the energy supply and use towards a more sustainable direction are discussed as well as how the global energy situation may evolve in the future. The course also includes how a technical report should be written.
