Shanghai Forum focuses on Arctic issues and development of the Arctic on theme session

Shanghai Forum is held on 26-28 May 2018. For the first time Shanghai Forum has a special session for Arctic issues.
The theme of the session is “The Global Arctic as a New Geopolitical Context and Asset”. Professor Lassi Heininen from University of Lapland is organizing and chairing the session.
The speakers of the session are professor Michael Byers from University of British Columbia, professor Miyase Christensen from Stockholm University, doctor Sanna Kopra from University of Lapland, rector Elena Kudryashova from Northern (Arctic) Federal University, professor Joni Kujansuu from University of Helsinki, Gunn-Britt Retter from Saami Council and doctor Zhang Yao from Shanghai Institute of International Relations.
Shanghai Forum is annual international high level event, which gathers politicians, business people and academians from Asia, Europe and America. The main organizer of the event is Fudan Development Institute from Fudan University in Shanghai.
