The report identifies the need to develop and promote the spirit of entrepreneurialism in the Arctic and calls for work to be done to publicise the business opportunities in the region and to showcase it as an attractive and sustainable market for investment and economic development.

“The Arctic region offers a range of interesting opportunities for entrepreneurs and companies in various sectors, including the bioeconomy and the creative and cultural industries. This report will help the Arctic take its business development to the next level,” says Dagfinn Høybråten, the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers.

The aim of the Arctic Business Analysis is to present key findings and recommendations on how to further promote business development in these four areas that will be drivers for growth in the Arctic Economy in the future.  Case studies of individual projects and successes in the region are highlighted.

While the primary focus of the reports is on the Arctic region within the Nordic countries the reports are also of interest for readers in other Arctic states and outside of the Arctic. The reports address number of important common challenges and opportunities concerning business development in the Arctic at large.

Printed copies of the reports can also be ordered at the norden.diva portal, only postal fees will be charged, no fees are charged for the reports themselves.
