3-week summer school program includes several major topical units that let you become familiar with the unique region, its geography, history and culture. These topical units are discovering the following key issues.

Thematic issues of the Summer School:

  1. Module: Northern Nature
  2. Module: Population, indigenous peoples
  3. Module: Languages of Yakutia

Target group: Bachelor, Master Students interested in natural and humanitarian sciences: issues of geography, biology, ecology, tourism, history, ethnography, anthropology, etc.

Language of instruction: Knowledge of Russian language is not necessary. Language of lectures and seminars is English, Russian with English interpretation.

Duration: July 24-August 11, 2017

Lena Pillars Summer Eco-Geographical School

The program allows participants of the school along with a unique opportunity to relax on specially protected natural area to explore northern wilderness, beef up knowledge on natural environment and master skills of field research.

Target group: Bachelor, Master and postgraduate students who are interested in Natural Sciences and Tourism, Geography issues, Geology, Paleontology, Biology, Tourism, History, Ethnography, etc.

Language of Instruction: Russian (translation into English will be provided)

Duration: From July 18 to August 1, 2017
