After the course participants shall be able to:

  • Describe and discuss IASSA guidelines for all researchers working in the North from an indigenous research methodology and research ethics perspective.
  • Discuss how to address community concerns and gather data that will inform decision making and help better prepare their future.
  • Discuss how to engage indigenous people in the research processes much further.
  • Use the CBPR tool kit to build up and strengthen a research capacity among the arctic communities in collaboration with the Regional Governments and the Research Centers.
