Extended call for paper to the North Atlantic Forum 2017
North Atlantic Forum 2017 – Call for paper is now open – Save the Date and Welcome to Bø in Telemark – Norway in a miniature! September 13-16, 2017. The 11th North Atlantic Forum conference will be held in beautiful Bø in Telemark, Norway, September 13-16 2017. Deadline for abstracts is April 5 2017.
We invite the private, public and civic sectors as well as researchers, developers and the academic community. We invite student and community participation and the conference sessions will take place in a variety of settings. The North Atlantic Forum aims to be trans-sectoral and welcomes paper and poster proposals on a variety of topics connected to the conference theme.
Some of the themes that has come in are:
- Rural New Resident Recruitment: A Critical First Step Toward Sustainability
- Connecting to place through art
- The role of women in small-scale tourism businesses in rural Imereti, Georgia
- Transformative landscapes of sustainability: In light of Patrick Geddes and Arne Naess
- The role of “place” in shaping the economic fortunes of rural areas
