EduLaw - a new project introducing modules on law and rights in programmes of teacher training and educational sciences

"EduLaw" (ELA) is a new interdisciplinary project, which has united teachers and lawyers from 12 partner universities across Europe and Russia in order to create a series of online modules on education law.

The EduLAw project is a three-year European Capacity Building project funded by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Programme. The project underlining assumption is that collaboration between educators and lawyers can promote effective teaching, learning, school leadership, and educational innovation.

Project partners plan to develop methodologies on how lawyers could communicate law and legal information to educators and on how to prepare teachers and school principals to act in accordance with the law, they will redesign curricula to include 14 online modules that transfer a basic knowledge of education law and rights in education to the students in teacher education, they will develop online open learning and teaching tools on education law and rights in education, and they will disseminate information about the project through an e-newsletter, summer schools, workshops, conferences, forum.

Northern (Arctic) Federal University - a UArctic member institution from Russia- joined the project team and took part in the first training internship in Kaunas (Lithuania), where NArFU team presented their draft modules: on confidentiality and protection of information; on transparency and access to information in the educational process.

The second internship took place 24 - 30 September in Belgium.
