NCM Terrestrial Ecosystem Group: Call for projects

Norden

The Nordic Council of Ministers’ (NCM) Terrestrial Ecosystem Group invites applications for its Call for projects. The main objective is to curb negative trends in biodiversity, maintain robust ecosystems and continue to deliver the ecosystem services necessary for welfare and economic growth. The deadline is 15 June 2016.

The theme for this year’s call is biological diversity and ecosystem services in and connected with urban environments. Possible perspectives on the theme include outdoor life close to urban areas, regeneration of ecosystem services, green climate adjustment or green corridors. Applicants are also encouraged to address the gender-equality and social-inclusion aspects of their projects. Proposed projects must benefit the Nordic countries and the adjacent areas.

Projects must include partners from at least three Nordic countries or autonomous territories: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Åland. Some projects also include partners from the Baltic states and North-West Russia. If a project involves the Baltic states, one of the three Nordic countries may be replaced by one of the Baltic states.

Projects should last one year and run in 2017.
