Lapland University of Applied Sciences in Tornio is organizing a “Summer School on Arctic Cooperation and Cross-Border Expertise”. The Summer school will be held form 29 May to 31 August 2017 (30 ECTS study credits).  Application deadline: March 31, 2017.

The deadline for the first workshop on “The Future of Winter Tourism” (FWT2017), which will be held in Rovaniemi (Finland) on April 3-5, 2017 is quickly approaching. The workshop is organized by the University of Lapland and Multidimensional Tourism Institute (MTI).


The two-day conference (January 19-20, 2017 - University of Helsinki, Finland) examines the concept of “indigenous people” as an inter-national and global phenomenon, and the unique processes through which this concept is applied to, lived and translated for each local situation.

The Centro de Administração e Políticas Públicas (CAPP) of the ISCSP is organizing the IV Lisbon International Arctic Workshop and Conference on "Artic Global Sustainable Development, Challanges and Resilience - From Climate Change to Security, People and Places". The event will take place on December 5th.



November 26 – December 1 UArctic president Lars Kullerud visited Yakutsk. The President participated in the international seminar on the Arctic Council project EALLU: Reindeer youth, adaptation to climate change, and traditional food culture in the framework of the program.
