A Changing Arctic summer course offered by University of Oslo, June-July 2015

The University of Oslo offers an interdisciplinary master’s level summer course in June-July 2015 that combines Natural Sciences, Law and Social Sciences to explore the environmental, legal and political changes in the Arctic. Application deadlines: 1 February (scholarship applicants), 15 March (self-financed applicants).

Participants will learn about current issues involving the Arctic's changing environment and how this impacts the legal framework provided by the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. The course also explores how this may generate new opportunities, risks, and governance challenges for Arctic states, companies and non-Arctic stakeholders.

A limited number of participants will be eligible for financial support to attend this six week course from June 20 to July 31, 2015.

Apply by February 1 (scholarship applicants), March 15 (self-financed applicants).
