Northern universities share the experience of teaching English language

The International Institute of Business Education in Murmansk, Russia, was visited by the representatives of UiT The Arctic University of Norway from 20th to 24th of October. At their meetings colleagues discussed the issues of learning English in terms of cultural communication and the experience of teaching English in schools and universities. The visit of the Norwegian representatives was part of the project "Learning English in intercultural perspective: Norway and Russia". Within this project the colleagues from both universities attended English lessons in the schools of Murmansk as well as lectures on the experiences of teaching and learning foreign languages in Russia.

The Norwegian guests got a lot of useful information for conducting a comparative analysis on different approaches of teaching and learning foreign languages in Norway and Russia. After this visit five students of the International Institute of Business Education visited Alta, Norway to observe the methods of teaching English in the schools and universities of the city of Alta.
