COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF ARCTIC STUDIES BETWEEN ICELAND AND NORWAY 

The purpose of the exchange scholarship program is to encourage the exchange of students between higher education institutions in Norway and Iceland in the field of Arctic science.

Mobility grants for student and scientists.

Application deadline for students
: 1 October 2012
Individual mobility from 1-12 months.
Travel grant: 1.200 €
Subsistence per month: 520 €

Application deadline for scientists: 15 October 2012
Individual or group mobility, 1-8 mobilities can be applied for.
Travel grant: 500 – 1.100 €
Daily subsistence in Norway: 260 €
Daily subsistence in Iceland: 180 €
Maximum 6 days for subsistence.
The beneficiary could stay longer but without additional funding.

Who can apply and eligibility criteria:
Students at all levels (bachelor, master, doctoral) enrolled at Icelandic and Norwegian higher educational institutions. Note: Priority will be given to Master and Ph.D. students and students wishing to study at Norwegian and Icelandic universities that are members of the University of the Arctic network.

The eligibility criteria is the same as in the Nordplus and Erasmus programmes, including that; the studies abroad shall be fully recognised as a part of degree at the home institution, ECTS shall be used, learning agreement signed before the exchange, etc.
