UArctic delegation visits University of Manitoba
UArctic President, UArctic VP Indigenous, rector Jelena Porsanger of Sámi University College, and staff members of UArctic International Office Pierre-André Forest and Pirkko Pulkkanen (in Manitoba for the UArctic Rectors' Forum), on Tuesday Nov 13 visited the University of Manitoba Extended Education and Aboriginal Focus Programs office.
The UArctic delegation met with dean of Extended Education Dr.
Lori Wallace and several representatives of the Access/Aboriginal Focus
Programs. The intention was to learn more about the extended services,
and the Aboriginal Focus Programs. The UArctic delegation presented information about the organization, and had the opportunity to learn about challenges and ways of
delivering extended services, and the organizing of improved access to
higher education of relevance for the aboriginal constituency of the
region.
