The Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue (UQAT) and DIALOG, the Research and knowledge network relating to Aboriginal peoples, will host the 17th Inuit Studies Conference at the UQAT First Peoples Pavilion on the Val-d'Or campus, Québec, Canada, under the theme "The Inuit and the Aboriginal World." Through this theme, the common concerns of the Inuit and the other Aboriginal peoples throughout the world will be explored.

During that conference, a session on "Intellectual property and ethics regarding access to data and reports" is being proposed. If interested to present a paper, please email the following information by Friday, January 22, 2010, at the latest:
-Name, title and role of the author(s)
-Home institution (if applicable)
-Complete contact information (including an email address)
-Title of the paper -Short abstract

The proposals will then be forwarded to the conference coordinators. Proposals can be presented in French or English. A scientific committee will select the papers to be presented at the conference.
