The Faculty of Law at the University of Tromsø in Norway announces a new Master's program: Law of the Sea. The program is offered in English over three semesters and leads to the Master of Laws (LLM) degree. Courses in the program include:
- General Law of the Sea;
- Ocean Governance;
- Law of the Sea and Biodiversity;
- Law of the Sea and the Arctic; and
- Master's Thesis.

To be admitted to the program, students must hold, at minimum a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in law or political science. They must also be able to document their knowledge of the fundamentals of
international law and international politics. Because all courses are taught in English, applicants must have adequate proficiency in written and oral English.

The deadline for application is Sunday, 1 March 2009.
