Postdoctoral Fellow Position Available - Arctic Region Supercomputing Center, University of Alaska Fairbanks
The Arctic Region Supercomputing Center (ARSC) at the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) seeks one or more recent PhD graduates for postdoctoral fellowships. Postdoctoral fellows will work under the guidance of faculty and staff colleagues. Emphasis is on research and discovery through computational science, utilizing resources of the Arctic Region Supercomputing Center. The scientific discipline and computational techniques are open, but applicants are encouraged to identify areas of synergy with existing ARSC or UAF research activities.
Research areas of current postdoctoral fellows have emphasized arctic themes including snow hydrology, oceanography, Arctic Ocean ice extent, ocean ecosystems, atmospheric science, and others.
