Knowledge and Power in the Arctic Conference: last-minute registrations invited
The University of Lapland Arctic , welcomes participation to the international multidisciplinary conference “Knowledge and Power in the Arctic ”, at the University of Lapland April 16-18, 2007 .
Please register by completing the online registration form: www.articcentre.org/power ; the registration deadline is 31 March 2007 .
One of the highlights of the conference is the Opening Ceremony of the Arctic Centre Science Centre New Exhibition on Tuesday 17 April (preregistration at the conference desk April 16th)
The idea of the conference is to highlight the importance of science and knowledge in the development of the region, especially from the perspectives of environmental, social, cultural, legal and economic sciences, and without forgetting critical perspectives. The conference program consists of several key note speeches and parallel workshops, where both senior scholars and PhD students are welcomed to present their papers.
