IPY launch in Switzerland
Two events have been scheduled in Geneva, Switzerland to mark the official beginning of the International Polar Year.
The “Shared Arctic: Contemporary Circumpolar Artwork Exhibition” and a Round Table Discussion entitled “Breaking the Ice: Communications with the Arctic” aim to celebrate both the depth of Arctic culture and the need to communicate common goals and challenges facing northerners.
