Preliminary Call for Abstracts - The Little Alaska Weather Symposium

Arctic Region Supercomputing Center
NOAA National Weather Service, Arctic Region Supercomputing Center, College of Natural Science and Mathematics, Geophysical Institute, and International Arctic Research Center invite abstracts for 20-30 minute presentations at the Little Alaska Weather Symposium (LAWS), to be held 12-13 May 2008, in Fairbanks, Alaska.
44,3285The symposium will provide a forum for the exchange of operational and research information related to weather in the Alaska environment. Primary topics will include:
- operational forecasting and observational sources in Alaska;
- polar aspects of weather; and
- reanalysis and data assimilation.
 
The deadline for one-paragraph abstracts is Tuesday, 4 March 2008. All abstracts must be submitted through their website.

Registration is required no later than 30 April 2008. There is no registration fee.
