ACUNS conference logo
The Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies and the University of Saskatchewan are on the eve of the 8th Annual International ACUNS Student Conference on Northern Studies. The conference, which runs from October 18-21 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan Canada, is on the theme of 'Melting Boundaries: Carrying Out Effective Research in the Circumpolar World'.
225,1846The conference hopes to melt the boundaries between researchers, disciplines, communities, governments and industries. Students researching all disciplines within the natural and social sciences related to northern issues were invited to participate. By having such broad topics the conference expects to leave participants with new inspirations and new ways to think about northern research

This year's conference is especially exciting because of the sheer size of the event. Organizers are expecting an unprecedented number of presenters and participants, and are excited to have Sheila Watt-Cloutier offering the keynote address. Ms. Watt-Cloutier's address will take place at the banquet on Saturday, October 20.
