Who can apply for a north2north scholarship?

  • north2north students from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe Islands
  • Intra-Kingdom of Denmark mobility is also possible
  • Russian students going on a north2north exchange to Sweden, Finland, the northern part of Norway (UiT The Arctic University of Norway, UNIS-University Center in Svalbard, Nord University, Sami University of Applied Sciences) and to Denmark, Greenland, the Faroe Islands.
  • North American students going on a north2north exchange to the northern part of Norway (UiT The Arctic University of Norway, UNIS-University Center in Svalbard, Nord University, Sami University of Applied Sciences), Finland, Denmark,  Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

NB: To Denmark there has to be a bilateral agreement between the home and host institution, for not having to pay tuition fee. For information about whether a bilateral agreement exists between your home institution and an institution in Denmark exists, please contact the north2north contact person at your home institution.

In Norway, Sweden, Finland, Iceland, Greenland and the Faroes Islands north2north students will not have to pay a tuition fee.

A north2north scholarship will not cover all expenses for traveling, accommodation and other living costs. Students will need to have additional funding.

To apply for a north2north scholarship you have to contact the north2north contact person at your home institution before the deadline. The deadlines and application processes differ from country to country:

Deadline in Norway and Denmark, Greenland and the Faroe for outbound and inbound students February 15

Deadline in Sweden for outbound students: January 15
Deadline in Sweden for inbound students March 4

Deadlines in Finland for outbound students differs between the institutions from October to February
Deadline in Finland for inbound students: February 15
